Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking a part-time Radiology Support Technician to assist imaging staff with patient preparation and room setup. The role involves infection control, room cleanup, patient transport, and verifying identities for procedures.

Independently transporting patients and communicating procedures are key duties, with supervision by a licensed radiographer. BLS and ARRT registration must be obtained within 120 days of program completion.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Radiologic Technology program, 2nd year of clinical training for Illinois hires.
• Completion of a minimum of 12 months training in radiology and related competencies.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and ARRT registration needs to be obtained within 120 days of graduation.

Responsibilities

• Assist imaging technologists with patient prep and room setup per infection control practices.
• Prepare exam rooms, clean and stock, transport patients as needed, and verify patient IDs.
• Generate requisitions, review schedules, and ensure exam accuracy in RIS/PACS workflows.
