Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Imaging Support Technician at Advocate Christ Medical Center. The role involves assisting radiology teams, preparing patients and rooms, and ensuring safety protocols are followed in a fast-paced environment.

You will verify patient identities, help with transfers, and operate radiology software to manage requisitions and schedules while reviewing clinical information to ensure exam accuracy. This is a part-time on-site position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT CT certification to be obtained within 18 months.
• No prior experience required.
• Must demonstrate patient care and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist imaging technologists with patient prep and room setup.
• Verify patient identification, explain procedures and address questions.
• Assist in patient transfer to and from exam rooms.
• Use radiology systems to generate requisitions and check schedules.
• Review medical records to obtain clinical information for exams.
• Position patients and select exposure factors under supervision.
• Document images and records in SmartChart, RIS and PACS.
