Job summary

Ford Motor Company seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to own the engine design lifecycle from concept to launch. You will collaborate with design, powertrain, purchasing, and finance to deliver robust programs across global teams.

Responsibilities include leading component design and release, owning 3D models for the engine assembly, guiding CPMT activities, managing WERS, and coordinating with CAE, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to resolve issues and drive successful launches.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
• 6+ years design and release experience.
• 6+ years CAD experience (CATIA, NX, CREO).
• Technical expertise with Gasoline Internal Combustion Engines (ICE).
• Experience with engine dynamometer testing.
• Experience with CAE Simulation Methodologies (1D, 3D, FEA, CFD).
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of a new engine design from concept to launch at a working level. Collaborate with design, release engineers, powertrain, and purchasing/finance to deliver programs.
• Lead component design & release activities and own the 3D models for the engine assembly.
• Lead CPMT activities and manage WERS (Worldwide Engineering Release System) processes.
• Lead resolution of major design, manufacturing, program, and launch issues.
• Coordinate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to support program requirements and quality.
