Job summary

Parker Aerospace in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking a Quality Team Lead to manage the Quality Support Teams, implement Parker Lean, and drive safe, efficient operations. The role oversees calibration labs, schedules, and continuous improvement initiatives to meet daily, monthly, and annual targets.

Responsibilities include safety leadership, team supervision, cross-training, and ensuring process stability with standardized work while aligning with AS9100 and NADCAP requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline required.
• Four or more years of directly related experience.
• Two to three years supervisory experience strongly preferred, with union oversight preferred.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality or operations support systems.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements (FAA, safety) and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Promote and enforce safety policy compliance and conduct safety investigations.
• Supervise team members, allocate workload, and coach subordinates.
• Provide cross training to Value Stream teams and encourage problem solving to ensure quality.
• Identify improvement opportunities, reduce waste, and lead Lean Kaizen events.
• Perform capacity planning and ensure productivity targets meet customer needs.
• Develop standardized work instructions and maintain visual management boards.
• Maintain procedures to ensure AS9100/NADCAP compliance and regulatory alignment.
