Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Analyst at our Knoxville plant to ensure material quality from raw materials to finished products.

You will perform testing with advanced laboratory instrumentation and document results in SAP, while maintaining high housekeeping and safety standards. The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma with additional science/engineering education or lab experience, can work 12-hour rotating shifts, and will back up team members as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent with 2-year college degree in science or engineering, or 3 years military experience, or 2 years laboratory experience, or 2 years in chemical manufacturing plants.
• Must be willing and able to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
• U.S. work authorization is required; no visa sponsorship is available.

Responsibilities

• Perform qualification testing of raw materials, in-process, batch final, shipment final, and special samples.
• Record QC data on lab requests and SAP worksheets.
• Prepare and issue certificates/letters of analysis.
• Ensure test equipment is in control and take corrective actions as needed.
• Provide quality training to team members and back up other analysts.
