Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Analyst for our Knoxville, TN plant. The role involves performing qualification testing on raw materials, in-process and finished samples, recording data in SAP and quality databases, and issuing certificates of analysis.

You will ensure instruments stay in control, perform corrective actions, and help train teammates. The successful candidate will work 12-hour rotating shifts, have lab experience or relevant military/education background, and be eligible to

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent with one of the following: 2-year college in science/engineering; 3 years military experience; 2 years of laboratory experience; or 2 years in chemical manufacturing plants.
Willingness and ability to work 12-hour, rotating shifts.
Must be able to work legally in the United States; no visa sponsorship provided.

Responsibilities

Perform qualification testing of raw materials, in-process, batch final, shipment final, and special request samples.
Record QC data on lab requests and SAP worksheets.
Notify appropriate individuals of all non-ACC1 material.
Prepare and issue certificates/letters of analysis.
Ensure test equipment is in control and take corrective actions.
Provide quality training to other team members.
Back-up other analysts and complete housekeeping duties.
