Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Analyst for our Knoxville, TN lab. The role requires performing material qualification tests, recording data in SAP and lab databases, and issuing certificates of analysis.

You will maintain equipment, enforce safety standards, and support team training in a fast-paced environment. The position requires a high school diploma with 2-year science/engineering study or 2+ years lab or chemical plant experience, and a willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and one or more of the following: 2-year college degree in science or engineering, 3 years military experience, 2 years lab experience, or 2 years experience in chemical manufacturing plants.
• Willingness and ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Perform qualification testing of raw materials, in-process, batch final, shipment final, and special samples.
• Perform testing according to written test methods.
• Record QC data in SAP worksheets and lab requests.
• Prepare and issue certificates/letters of analysis.
• Ensure test equipment is in control and take corrective actions as needed.
• Back-up other analysts and maintain lab housekeeping and safety standards.
