Job summary

Dow Inc. seeks a Quality Control Analyst for its Knoxville, TN plant. You will perform qualification testing on raw materials, in-process and finished products, enter data into quality databases, and issue certificates of analysis.

The role requires 12-hour rotating shifts and compliance with safety standards. Candidates should have a high school diploma plus a science/engineering credential or relevant experience in laboratory settings and chemical manufacturing. U.S.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent and one or more of the following: 2 year college degree in science/engineering, 3 years of military experience, 2 years of laboratory experience, or 2 years in chemical manufacturing plants.
• Willing and able to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
• U.S. work authorization required; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Perform qualification testing of raw materials, in-process, batch final, shipment final, and special samples.
• Record QC data on lab requests, SAP worksheets, and quality databases; prepare certificates of analysis.
• Back-up other analysts and maintain lab housekeeping to high standards.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs of lab instrumentation and ensure equipment stays in control.
• Provide quality training and implement corrective actions as needed.
