Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is seeking a QA Supervisor - Fresh to oversee the Quality Assurance department at the poultry slaughter and disassembly location. You will ensure compliance with HACCP, SSOPs, GMPs, USDA, OSHA, and customer specifications while driving productivity and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science or Agricultural related field is required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• HACCP certification preferred.
• Minimum one year in manufacturing; leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day QA department activities and ensure production schedules align with quality standards.
• Deploy and rotate personnel to optimize department performance and meet specifications.
• Ensure accurate daily reporting and documentation (attendance, NR reporting, etc.).
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and reduce repeat deficiencies.
• Lead or participate in process improvements and monitor improvement metrics.
• Partner with Operations to maintain a safe, sanitary USDA-compliant environment.
• Mentor and train staff; administer performance improvement actions.
