Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is seeking a Poultry Processing Supervisor to oversee a production line and department personnel, ensuring compliance with HACCP, SSOPs, GMPs, USDA, OSHA, and company policies while achieving productivity and meeting customer specifications.

The role focuses on leading a team of up to 100, improving processes, coordinating with QA, and driving safety and quality in a fast-paced poultry processing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in manufacturing.
• Three years in food manufacturing or poultry preferred.
• Leadership experience with timekeeping and policy adherence.
• Knowledge of poultry processing and food safety regulations (OSHA, GMP, HACCP).
• Excellent English communication, verbal and written.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficient computer and math skills.
• Self-motivated with urgency in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage production line/department by establishing procedures and adjusting as needed to meet schedules and budgets.
• Deploy and rotate personnel to optimize efficiency and ergonomics.
• Ensure daily reports are completed and recorded (attendance, yields, etc.).
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and reduce recurring deficiencies.
• Lead or participate in process improvements and monitor metrics.
• Partner with QA to ensure a food-safe, sanitary environment per USDA requirements.
• Mentor and train employees; provide feedback and performance improvement actions.
• Enforce safety initiatives and PPE usage to maintain a zero-accident culture.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet location goals.
• Understand and adhere to current Union contracts if applicable.
