Job summary

Vital & FHR North America, LLC is seeking a Field Service Engineer (FSE) for PVD inline platforms in the Perrysburg, OH area. You will oversee installation, commissioning, and ongoing on-site service across customer sites in the East Coast service region.

The role requires 5+ years of experience with inline sputter or evaporation PVD systems, strong vacuum and plasma troubleshooting, and the ability to travel frequently, including international assignments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or related field preferred.
5+ years of experience servicing PVD equipment, with a focus on inline sputter or evaporation systems.
Strong troubleshooting skills with vacuum systems and plasma technology.
Excellent communication skills; German & Mandarin language a plus.
Willingness to travel frequently.

Responsibilities

Install and commission inline sputter and evaporation equipment at customer sites.
Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on PVD systems.
Provide technical support and training to customers on operation and maintenance.
Collaborate with customers to optimize PVD processes and yields.
Maintain accurate records of service activities and equipment performance.
Work with engineering teams to identify in-field issues and drive improvements.
Travel to customer sites domestically and internationally.
