Job summary

Vital & FHR North America, LLC is seeking a Field Service Engineer (FSE) for PVD inline platforms in the Perrysburg, OH area. You will oversee installation, commissioning, and ongoing on-site service across customer sites in the East Coast service region.

The role requires 5+ years of experience with inline sputter or evaporation PVD systems, strong vacuum and plasma troubleshooting, and the ability to travel frequently, including international assignments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience servicing PVD equipment, with a focus on inline sputter or evaporation systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with vacuum systems and plasma technology.
  • Excellent communication skills; German & Mandarin language a plus.
  • Willingness to travel frequently.

Responsibilities

  • Install and commission inline sputter and evaporation equipment at customer sites.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on PVD systems.
  • Provide technical support and training to customers on operation and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with customers to optimize PVD processes and yields.
  • Maintain accurate records of service activities and equipment performance.
  • Work with engineering teams to identify in-field issues and drive improvements.
  • Travel to customer sites domestically and internationally.
