About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and hands‑on Field Service Engineer to support our physical vapor deposition (PVD) systems, including inline and cluster tool platforms. The ideal candidate will be based in the Bay Area and will play a key role in installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and upgrading advanced thin film equipment at customer sites within the U.S.

Key Responsibilities

• • Perform on‑site service, diagnostics, and repair of inline and cluster PVD systems
  • Support system installations, upgrades, and routine maintenance
  • Train end‑users on system operation and basic troubleshooting
  • Communicate effectively with customers, internal engineering, and support teams
  • Document service work and maintain accurate service records
  • Travel as needed to customer sites (typically 50–75%)

Required Qualifications

• • 5+ years of experience servicing PVD systems or other vacuum‑based semiconductor/equipment tools
  • Strong knowledge of vacuum, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Experience with inline or cluster tool configurations preferred
  • Comfortable with hands‑on, field‑based troubleshooting and repairs
  • Strong communication and customer‑facing skills
  • Based in the Bay Area or willing to relocate
