Job summary

Vital Materials Co., Limited seeks a Field Service Engineer to support PVD inline and cluster tools in the Bay Area. You will install, troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade advanced thin-film equipment at customer sites across the United States.

This hands-on, travel-heavy role requires 5+ years of PVD service experience, strong vacuum/electrical/mechanical knowledge, and a willingness to relocate to the Bay Area if needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience servicing PVD systems or vacuum-based semiconductor/equipment tools.
• Strong knowledge of vacuum, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Experience with inline or cluster tool configurations preferred.
• Willingness to travel 50–75% and based in the Bay Area or relocate.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site service, diagnostics, and repair of inline and cluster PVD systems.
• Support system installations, upgrades, and routine maintenance.
• Train end-users on system operation and basic troubleshooting.
• Document service work and maintain accurate service records.
• Travel as needed to customer sites (50–75%).
