Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Performance Engineer II to oversee the daily operations of active solar projects. This role can be fully remote or hybrid with in-office presence in San Diego, CA or Bend, OR, with location details discussed in interview.

You will collate data, run analyses, onboard projects, and lead a team of engineers to optimize fleet performance, reporting findings to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, science, or related technical discipline.
• 4+ years PV Performance Engineering and PV data analytics experience.
• Experience modeling with PVSyst, PlantPredict, SAM.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook).
• Programming knowledge in Python, VBA, MATLAB, Java preferred.
• Travel up to 20% of time.
• Renewable energy industry knowledge; strong collaboration and communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operational activities of active projects.
• Collaborate with teams to collect data, run analyses, and deliver reports.
• Onboard active projects into internal Performance Team platforms.
• Lead and coordinate Performance Engineers & Analysts in operations.
• Analyze energy losses and performance impacts from outages.
• Prepare and review commissioning plans, test reports, and operation reports.
