Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Performance Engineer II to oversee day-to-day operations on active solar, storage, and high voltage projects. The role is fully remote or hybrid with in-office presence in San Diego, CA or Bend, OR; location details will be discussed at interview.

You will collaborate with internal teams, onboard projects, analyze energy losses, track issues, and support data analytics tools. A strong background in PV performance engineering, modeling software, and teamwork is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, science or a related field.
• 4+ years PV performance engineering, ASTM E2848 & IEC standards experience.
• Experience with PV modeling software (PVSyst, PlantPredict, SAM) and data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operational activities of active solar projects.
• Collaborate with internal teams to collect data and deliver reports.
• On-board active projects into internal Performance Team platforms.
• Track issues and optimize fleet performance with internal teams.
• Analyze energy losses and system performance and report impacts to relevant teams.
