Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Performance Engineer II to oversee day-to-day operations on active projects. Role can be fully remote or hybrid with in-office presence in San Diego, CA or Bend, OR.

The candidate will lead data-driven performance analyses, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure safe, efficient project execution. The role requires PV performance engineering experience, modeling with PVSyst/SAM/PlantPredict, and strong reporting and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, science or related field.
• 4+ years’ PV performance engineering, capacity testing and PV data analytics.
• Experience with modeling software such as PVSyst, PlantPredict, and SAM.
• Proficient with MS Office tools; programming experience welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety is the top priority and enforce safe practices across teams.
• Collaborate with internal teams to collect data, create reports, tests, and analyses.
• On-board active projects into internal Performance Team platforms.
• Track issues with construction/operational fleet and drive fleet optimization.
• Troubleshoot performance data and correlate with workorder data for reporting.
• Lead and coordinate daily activities of Performance Engineers & Analysts.
• Maintain understanding of site design, equipment, and issues affecting projects.
• Analyze energy losses and system performance and communicate impacts to stakeholders.
• Update client reports (Commissioning Plans, Test Reports, Operation reports, Vitals, etc.).
• Support field teams by prioritizing work based on criticality and failures.
