Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Performance Engineer II to oversee day-to-day operations of active solar projects, including PV and battery storage assets. This role can be fully remote or hybrid with in-office presence in San Diego, CA or Bend, OR; location expectations discussed at interview.

You will analyze performance data, coordinate with engineering teams, generate reports, and support commissioning, testing and optimization efforts to drive fleet reliability and energy yield.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or a related technical discipline.
• 4+ years’ experience in PV Performance Engineering, capacity testing and PV data analytics.
• Experience with modeling software like PVSyst, PlantPredict, SAM.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate day-to-day project performance activities.
• Analyze energy losses and system performance for PV plants.
• Collaborate with OEMs and field teams to resolve issues.
• Prepare reports, commissioning plans and client presentations.
