Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Performance Engineer II to oversee day-to-day operations on active projects. This role can be fully remote or hybrid with in-office presence in San Diego, CA or Bend, OR.

You will coordinate with internal teams to collect data for reports, onboard projects, and analyze performance across fleet optimization initiatives. The position requires PV performance engineering experience, data analytics, and ability to travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, science, or a related technical discipline.
• 4+ years’ experience in PV Performance Engineering, Capacity Testing (ASTM E2848 & IEC standards) and PV data analytics.
• Experience in modeling using software like PVSyst, PlantPredict, SAM, and so on.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and other Office tools.
• Experience with programming languages like Python, VBA, MATLAB, Java, and others preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 20% of time.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operational activities of active projects while prioritizing safety.
• Collaborate with internal teams to collect data for reports and analyses.
• On-board active projects into SOLV Energy’s Performance Team platforms.
• Track issues and optimize fleet performance with internal teams and vendors.
• Analyze energy losses and performance impacts, communicating findings to stakeholders.
• Lead and mentor Performance Engineers and Analysts in project execution.
• Maintain documentation and improve analytical workflows and templates.
