Job summary

Sweetwater Care in Salina, KS is seeking a qualified Respiratory Therapist to lead our pulmonary program within a skilled nursing facility. The RT will supervise treatment delivery, coordinate care with the IDT, and support infection prevention efforts.

The ideal candidate will hold Kansas licensure, CRT or RRT credential, and ACLS/BLS certification, with a servant-leadership approach and a focus on reducing rehospitalizations and improving residents' quality of life.

Qualifications

• Current State Respiratory Therapist Licensure required.
• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy.
• Possesses and maintains CRT or RRT credential.
• Current ACLS and BLS Certification

Responsibilities

• Lead our pulmonary program for residents and future admissions.
• Coordinate RT treatments and interventions per physician orders and CMS requirements.
• Oversee equipment, maintenance, and infection control.
• Document patient data in medical records and track progress.
• Assess patient pain, function, and rehabilitation participation.
• Direct daily shift operations, assignments, and emergencies.
• Collaborate with Nursing Director, Infection Preventionist, and physicians to ensure quality care.
