Job summary

Sweetwater Care is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to support a new pulmonary program within a skilled nursing facility. The RT will administer therapies, coordinate care with physicians, and ensure documentation meets state and federal guidelines.

The ideal candidate holds Kansas licensure, CRT or RRT credentials, ACLS/BLS, and a passion for leadership in a team-focused setting. The role includes shift leadership responsibilities and collaboration with nursing and administration.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in Kansas.
• Graduate of an AMA-approved Respiratory Therapy program.
• Currently holds CRT or RRT credential and ACLS/BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Administers respiratory therapy treatments and interventions as ordered.
• Assesses pain and coordinates interventions to support rehab goals.
• Documents pertinent data in the medical record after program extensions.
• Operates and maintains respiratory equipment safely and effectively.
• Provides leadership during shifts and liaises with nursing staff and physicians.
• Participates in education and CQI activities and policy adherence.
