Job summary

Sweetwater Care is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide skilled respiratory care in a nursing facility setting. You will assess, plan, implement, and monitor therapies to improve residents' lung function and quality of life while collaborating with the medical team and supporting families.

Applicants should hold an NBRC-RRT, state licensure, and a degree in Respiratory Therapy. New graduates are welcome to apply as part of our compassionate, team-focused environment in Kansas.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
• Valid state license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist.
• NBRC certification as Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Experience in long-term care or nursing home setting is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient care.
• Familiarity with EMR and documentation standards.
• New graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments of residents' respiratory status and review medical history.
• Develop and implement individualized respiratory treatment plans.
• Administer therapies such as Acapella, Incentive Spirometry, EZPAP, CPT.
• Monitor responses to treatment and adjust care plans with medical staff.
• Educate residents and families on respiratory health and options.
• Maintain accurate documentation in medical records.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings.
