Qualifications

  • Current licensure as Respiratory Therapist in MA.
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy.
  • Active RRT credential required.
  • Current ACLS and BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide respiratory care services per physician orders and facility policies.
  • Administer RT treatments and interventions; monitor for side effects.
  • Assess pain and coordinate with nursing for rehab participation.
  • Maintain infection control and equipment sterilization standards.
  • Document data in the patient’s medical record after treatments.
  • Manage and operate respiratory therapy equipment safely and effectively.
  • Develop and adjust patient care plans with learning needs for patients and families.
  • Lead daily shift operations and respond to emergencies as in-charge therapist.
