Job summary

Sweetwater Care in Topeka, KS is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our new pulmonary program. The role offers $30-$45 per hour with a $10,000 sign-on bonus and requires Kansas licensure along with CRT or RRT credentials.

You will administer treatments, monitor patient responses, coordinate with nursing, and lead daily shift operations under the Pulmonary Program Coordinator, ensuring safety, quality and compassionate care for residents.

Qualifications

• Licensed Respiratory Therapist in Kansas.
• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy.
• Current CRT or RRT credential.
• Current ACLS and BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory care per physician orders and facility policies.
• Administer treatments and monitor patient response.
• Assess pain and coordinate with nursing for rehabilitation.
• Maintain infection control and sterilization procedures.
• Operate and test equipment safely and ensure readiness.
• Develop care plans and involve patient families when appropriate.
• Oversee shift operations and coordinate with nursing staff.
