PeaceHealth in Eugene, Oregon is seeking a full-time Patient Access Representative - Pulmonary to coordinate scheduling, insurance verification, and pre-certification. The role acts as a clinical liaison with physician practices during pre-visit services, ensuring accurate demographics and financial data capture.

The position requires 1 year of medical office or related customer service experience; familiarity with Microsoft Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma Preferred or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year Medical office or related customer service experience.
• Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsabilités

• Pre-registers/registers patients with accurate patient demographic and financial data, using varying methods as applicable.
• Collects patient balances, co-payments, co-insurance, or other payment types.
• Verifies coverage and ensures all insurance requirements are met; obtains prior authorization and referrals as needed.
• Responds to customer inquiries and assists with departmental coverage as needed.
• Manages daily appointment schedules, including reminder calls and referring patients as appropriate.
• May transport patients using escort or wheeled transport equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
