Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking a Patient Access Representative for the Pediatric Clinic Admin to support scheduling, insurance verification, and pre-certification processes. The role acts as a clinical liaison with physician practices handling pre-visit services.

The responsibilities include patient pre-registration, collecting payments, verifying coverage, and coordinating referrals. This full-time, day shift position focuses on accurate data handling and delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma Preferred or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year Medical office or related customer service experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Pre-registers/registers patients with accurate demographics and financial data.
• Collects patient balances, co-payments, co-insurance, or other payments.
• Verifies coverage and ensures all insurance requirements are met, and obtains prior authorizations/referrals as appropriate.
• Responds to customer inquiries.
• Manages daily appointment schedules and referrals.
• May transport patients using escort or wheeled transport equipment.
