Job summary

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of patient access experience, strong knowledge of medical terminology and CPT/ICD coding, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Patient Access Rep experience
• Leadership experience preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Knowledge of CPT/ICD coding and medical terminology
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Assigns work, prioritizes tasks, mentors staff and oversees training
• Pre-registers patients with accurate demographic and financial data
• Verifies coverage and obtains necessary prior authorizations
• Acts as a clinical liaison with physician practices for pre-visit services
• Supports day-to-day department operations and service excellence
• May transport patients as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned
