Job summary

OpenGov is seeking an Implementation Consultant to drive value through successful implementations of our public sector solutions. You will oversee the entire process, from data gathering to configuration, serving as the primary technical contact for new customers and guiding government staff through setup and training.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to tailor solutions, share best practices, and promote adoption while addressing customer needs across multiple state processes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in software implementation consulting or equivalent with external clients.
• Experience in analyzing and reporting large volumes of financial data with government context.
• Experience training customers on software solutions.
• Ability to provide clear phone support, assistance and recommendations.
• Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP and PivotTables.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment and improving internal processes.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication.
• Public sector procurement/budgeting experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end implementation projects with data gathering and configuration.
• Act as primary technical contact for new customers deploying OpenGov.
• Interact with government officials daily to guide implementation.
• Identify requirements and collaborate to improve workflows.
• Develop expertise in governmental processes across states.
• Coordinate with engagement/adoption teams to train customers.
• Share best practices and drive implementation efficiencies.
• Collect customer feedback for product discussions.
