Job summary

OpenGov is seeking a Senior Implementation Consultant, Payroll to drive value for public-sector customers and deliver complete implementations. This role requires advanced payroll/HRIS-related product knowledge and the ability to tailor solutions that align with customer goals.

Responsibilities include leading end-to-end projects, advising customers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful deployments and scalable solutions across government workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software implementation consulting experience with ERP platform implementations.
• Advanced data analysis ability with strong data architecture and workflows.
• Proficiency in training customers on software solutions to address key workflows.
• Advanced Excel skills including formulas, v-lookup, pivot tables, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end implementation projects for new and expanding customers.
• Act as primary technical and strategic advisor to customers.
• Analyze customer requirements and develop tailored, automated workflows.
• Develop governmental process expertise across multiple states.
• Collaborate with engagement/adoption teams to deliver strong customer experiences.
• Establish best practices for data environments and verticals.
• Gather and communicate customer feedback for product discussions.
• Work with R&D and Sales to drive delivery efficiency and roadmaps.
• Mentor and train team members; share best practices.
• Own strategic initiatives and contribute to tactical targets.
