Job summary

OpenGov Inc. seeks an ERP Solutions Engineer to guide local government finance teams through evaluating and implementing OpenGov's financial solutions.

You will conduct discovery, translate accounting workflows into system configurations, and deliver demos showing how budgeting, general ledger, procurement, and financial reporting are modernized. You will combine accounting expertise with product knowledge to illustrate operational and compliance benefits of OpenGov ERP.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in accounting, financial systems, ERP implementation, or public sector finance advisory.
• Strong understanding of government accounting principles, fund accounting, GASB standards, budgeting, procurement, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct discovery sessions with government finance teams to map current accounting practices and budgets.
• Deliver tailored product demonstrations connecting OpenGov capabilities to public sector challenges.
• Serve as accounting and finance expert during evaluations, translating workflows to configurations.
• Design and execute proof-of-concept activities reflecting government accounting scenarios.
• Support RFI/RFP/RFQ development with finance requirements and responses.
• Provide guidance on GASB compliance, purchasing controls, and financial reporting improvements.
