Qualifications

• Must have an Associate degree in accounting, public administration or closely related field.
• Three (3) years of accounting experience required; experience may substitute for degree on year-for-year basis.
• Proficiency with accounting software and general ledger systems.

Responsibilities

• Process and verify accounts payable vouchers.
• Enter data into PeopleSoft and submit payments to vendors.
• Monitor expenditures and notify supervisor if over budget.
• Prepare daily bank deposits and monthly cash disbursements.
• Maintain vendor files and accounting records.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations and internal controls.
