Job summary

Central Georgia Technical College is seeking an Accountant to perform professional accounting duties, analyze and prepare financial reports, and maintain compliance with TCSG policies. The role may require travel within the college service area and occasional after-hours work.

The position handles transactions, prepares reports, and supports purchasing and cash handling processes. A Bachelor's or Associate degree in accounting with relevant experience is required or preferred, with opportunities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required or Associate degree with 2 years accounting experience.
• Knowledge of GA state regulations and budgeting practices preferred.
• Experience with student accounts and financial reporting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Record and classify financial transactions.
• Prepare standard accounting reports and revenue journal entries.
• Balance and reconcile accounting records and statements.
• Process accounts payable and manage receipts.
• Coordinate purchase activities and maintain accounting files.
• Assist with travel and other college financial procedures.
