Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a high-performing Technical Field Services Manager to lead our post-sales technical services teams. You will manage Field Engineers responsible for installation, deployment, and maintenance of Exacom Hindsight 4, ensuring on-site success and strong SLAs for public safety deployments.

The role requires 5+ years of technical management experience in mission-critical environments, with hands-on knowledge of VoIP, SIP, RoIP, and logging systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive technical management experience leading technical support and/or field deployment teams.
• Prior experience in public safety, mission-critical environments, telecommunications, or NG911 systems is preferred.
• Proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary technical teams (remote and on-site).

Responsibilities

• Direct, mentor, and evaluate a dual-function team of Field Engineers.
• Conduct regular 1-on-1s, performance reviews, scheduling, and technical coaching.
• Establish KPIs for response times, resolution rates, and customer satisfaction.
• Direct planning, scheduling, and execution of on-site hardware/software installations and upgrades.
• Coordinate with project managers and client IT/dispatch directors on deployment timelines.
• Ensure adherence to installation protocols, SAT, and security standards.
• Act as technical contact during system commissioning and go-live events.
• Manage backlog to ensure timely project closure and revenue generation.
• Refine support workflows, checklists, and internal knowledge base.
• Build relationships with PSAPs, police, and emergency centers; manage escalations.
