Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Software Application Specialist Manager to lead a team deploying public safety software within complex ecosystems. The role blends leadership, resource planning, and project management to ensure seamless integration of Motorola's CCSW platform for public safety agencies.

Responsibilities include discovery, process improvement, training, UAT, and collaboration across engineers, contractors, and program leaders to deliver on contract and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Preferred Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Project Management, Engineering or related field or 5 years of experience in a public safety Information technology field.
• Must be a self-motivated team player able to work effectively with general guidance toward objectives.

Responsibilities

• Information Gathering and Discovery: Conduct operational assessments and discovery events to understand customer business processes within Public Safety agencies; interview experts and document findings.
• Analytical Evaluation and Recommendations: Evaluate current business processes and provide tailored recommendations for configuration and application of Motorola's software to improve efficiency.
• Business Process Reengineering: Lead workshops to develop new processes that align with objectives.
• Training Development and Orientation: Design and deliver training materials and guide customers through sessions to improve user competence.
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Facilitation: Define, coordinate, and lead UAT processes and document results.
• Internal Liaison and Collaboration: Act as liaison between technical resources, engineers, and project managers to meet customer needs.
• Collaboration: Partner with Program Leaders to ensure timely delivery within scope and budget.
• Stakeholder Communication: Present analysis results and updates to stakeholders for buy-in.
• Delivery responsibility for CCSW HW/SW Platform migration tasks and P1 maintenance contract delivery and satisfaction.
• Overseeing CCSW migration projects and leading team in delivering contractual scope on schedule and within budget.
