Job summary

Motorola Solutions in the United States is seeking a Software Application Specialist Manager to lead a team responsible for deploying public safety and command center software within complex ecosystems. The role partners with ESI Lab leadership and CCSW Contracts to test upgrade migrations and ensure timely, within-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Preferred Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Project Management, Engineering or related field or 5 years of experience in a public safety Information technology field.
• Must be a self-motivated team player able to work effectively with general guidance toward objectives.

Responsibilities

• Information Gathering and Discovery: lead efforts to conduct operational assessments, business process reviews, and other discovery events to gain understanding of the customer’s current business processes within Public Safety agencies.
• Analytical Evaluation and Recommendations: evaluate existing business processes to identify opportunities for improvement and provide tailored recommendations regarding configuration and application of Motorola's software solutions.
• Business Process Reengineering: facilitate initiatives by analyzing workflows and leading workshops to develop new processes.
• Training Development and Orientation: design, develop, and deliver training curriculum and materials to ensure end-user engagement for new software implementations.
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Facilitation: define, coordinate, and lead UAT processes and document results against the Functional Requirements Matrix.
• Internal Liaison and Collaboration: act as a liaison between technical resources and project managers to meet customer needs and adapt COTS software to client use cases.
• Collaboration: partner with Program Leaders to ensure timely delivery within scope and budget.
• Stakeholder Communication: present analysis results and project updates to stakeholders to support decision-making.
• Responsible for the delivery of the CCSW HW/SW Platform migration tasks per customer contract; accountable for upgrade delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Responsible for overseeing CCSW HW/SW Platform migration projects and leading teams to deliver contractual scope on schedule and within budget.
