Job summary

Facility Contract Services (FCS) is seeking an IT Support Specialist to deliver on-site and remote technical support for the Fire Department across multiple sites and public safety facilities. You will be responsible for supporting mission-critical systems and assisting IT staff to ensure reliable operations for emergency response and daily activities.

The role requires five years of hands-on end-user support, Windows and hardware knowledge, and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, or related field.
• Minimum five years of hands-on end-user IT support experience.
• Experience supporting Windows desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and standard office apps.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, and basic networking.
• Strong customer service and ability to communicate with non-technical users.
• Valid Florida driver’s license and ability to travel between locations.
• Ability to obtain FDLE CJIS certification.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the primary IT support resource for the Fire Department across multiple sites.
• Provides on-site and remote technical support for mission-critical public safety systems.
• Responds to Helpdesk requests, documents incidents, and follows up until resolution.
• Deploys and troubleshoots computers, mobile devices, printers, phones, and related IT equipment.
• Supports IT disaster recovery and emergency response efforts.
• Occasionally assists other City departments as needed.
