Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Any combination of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience may substitute for the required training on a year-for-year basis.
• Experience in Economic Services work may substitute for the required training at the rate of one year of experience equals two years of training.
• Successful completion of college coursework from a regionally accredited college or university may substitute for the required training on a year-for-year basis.
• A valid driver's license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Process applications and determine eligibility for various economic assistance programs.
• Schedule telephone and face-to-face interviews.
• Conduct personal interviews and collect personal, financial, and social information.
• Maintain an up-to-date client caseload and refer clients to support services and agencies when needed.
• May obtain repayment from clients who have been issued benefits erroneously.
