Job summary

State of West Virginia in Charleston seeks a full-time Eligibility Professional to process applications, determine eligibility for SNAP, Medicaid, Emergency Assistance/LIEAP and School Clothing Vouchers, and maintain a diverse client caseload.

Under supervision, you will schedule and conduct interviews, collect personal and financial information, refer clients to supportive services, and recover benefits when issued in error.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Substitution of experience for training allowed on a year-for-year basis.
• Valid driver's license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Process applications and ascertain eligibility for SNAP, Medicaid, and other programs.
• Maintain an up-to-date client caseload and schedule/perform interviews (phone or in person).
• Refer clients to supportive services and agencies as needed; recover benefits issued erroneously.
