The role includes training, a 37.5‑hour work week (Mon‑Fri 8:00–4:30), and pay of $18.00/hr with benefits and PTO. Prior social service experience is helpful; degree requirements vary by role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Associate degree in Counseling or Social Services preferred.
• 2 years’ experience in a social service environment desired.
• Strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Gather data for all relevant public assistance programs via in‑person or phone interviews.
• Verify information to ensure compliance with state policies.
• Obtain release forms and medical records as needed.
• Verify income, assets and other financial documents.
• Explain regulations and program requirements to clients.
• Use automated tools to determine eligibility for state programs.
• Enter data into state databases.
• Respond to inquiries promptly by phone or email.
