Job summary

Knowledge Services in Hobart, Indiana is seeking an Eligibility Specialist to support the DFR and process applications for TANF, SNAP, and Medicaid.

Responsibilities include data gathering face-to-face or by phone, verifying information against state policies, obtaining releases and medical records, and entering data into the state system. The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with an $18.00/hour wage and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Counseling or Social Services preferred, or HS diploma/GED required
• 2 years’ experience in a social service environment preferred
• Prior Case Manager or Eligibility roles encouraged
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Gather data for eligibility programs face-to-face or via phone
• Verify information meets state policies
• Obtain release forms and medical records as needed
• Verify income, assets, and other documents
• Data entry into state database
• Respond to inquiries by phone or email
