Job summary

Knowledge Services, located in Elkhart, Indiana, seeks an Eligibility Specialist for the DFR to assist with processing applications for TANF, SNAP, and Medicaid. Responsibilities include data gathering, verification, and data entry, with a focus on accuracy and client service.

Training will be provided; 37.5-hour week, Mon-Fri 8:00–4:30. Minimum qualifications include strong organizational, communication, and case management abilities, plus experience in social services; a degree in Counseling

Qualifications

• Experience in social services or case management preferred.
• Bachelor/Associate degree in Counseling or Social Services preferred; HS diploma acceptable.
• 2 years in social service environment or related government experience.
• Strong communication and data verification skills.

Responsibilities

• Gather data for all relevant assistance programs either face-to-face or via phone with clients.
• Verify all information is gathered accurately and meets state policies.
• Obtain release forms and medical records as needed.
• Verify income, assets, and other financial / legal documents.
• Review regulations and program requirements with clients.
• Utilize automated program to determine eligibility of state assistance programs.
• Data entry into state database.
• Respond to all inquiries in a timely manner via phone or email.
