Qualifications

• Bachelor or Associate degree in Counseling or Social Services preferred; HS diploma or GED required.
• 2 years' experience in a social service environment, state or local government preferred for employment/training programs.
• Previous experience as a Case Manager, Eligibility Specialist, Eligibility Associate, Office Manager, Call Center Customer Service Specialist, or Client Specialist encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Gather data for all relevant assistance programs face-to-face or via phone with clients.
• Verify information meets state policies and gather necessary documents.
• Obtain release forms and medical records as needed.
• Verify income, assets, and other financial/legal documents.
• Explain program requirements to clients and determine eligibility with automated tools.
• Enter data into state database and respond to inquiries by phone or email.
