Job summary

Carle Health seeks a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to evaluate and treat patients of all ages, following the plan of care and adjusting treatment based on patient response. The role includes patient and caregiver education and thorough documentation in the therapy EMR.

The position offers a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for eligible candidates, with potential advancement and ongoing continuing education to support stroke care excellence.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA).
• Licensed PTA in Illinois (IDFPR).
• BLS within 30 days - AHA.
• Board eligible and must complete board exam.
• Ongoing continuing education for acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students, and other health care providers using effective teaching methods.
• Follows the plan of care and adjusts treatment after communicating with the evaluating therapist.
• Produces documentation per Clinical Documentation Policy.
• Completes annual education for hip/knee replacement program (if applicable).
• Coordinates with PT on patient treatment interventions and communicates progress to referring provider.
