Job summary

Carle Health is hiring a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to evaluate and treat patients of all ages, adjusting plans of care as needed. The role emphasizes education for patients, families, and staff, and requires BLS certification with board-eligibility and ongoing education.

Qualifications

Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Illinois per IDFPR requirements
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association

Responsibilities

Educates patients, family, caregivers, students, and other health care providers using teaching methods.
Follows the therapist's plan of care and adjusts treatment based on patient response and evidence after communicating with the evaluating therapist.
Produces documentation in accordance with policy (CTSCP67).
If applicable, completes annual education to comply with DNV Hip and Knee Replacement Program requirements.
Follows treatment plan of care established by PT and provides therapy interventions (exercise, gait/balance training, ultrasound).
Administers electrical stimulation treatment and aquatic therapy as needed.
Completes daily documentation in therapy EMR and coordinates with PT on interventions and progress.
