Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to evaluate and treat patients of all ages, modify care plans as needed, and serve as a clinical resource for staff and students. This role qualifies for a sign-on bonus with $1,500 for new grads and $2,500 for candidates with 1+ years of experience.

Relocation assistance is available for moving 50+ miles. The position requires an Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant and licensure as a PTA.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - IDFPR.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA).
• Board Eligible/Required to complete board exam on the next available exam date.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students, and other health care providers using effective teaching methods.
• Follows the therapist's plan of care and adjusts treatment based on patient response with documented communication.
• Produces documentation in accordance with policy and completes required annual education for relevant program requirements.
• Follows treatment plan of care established by PT and provides modalities including therapeutic exercises, gait/balance training, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, aquatic therapy.
• Completes daily documentation and charging in therapy EMR and coordinates with PT on treatment interventions.
• Communicates progress and treatment recommendations to referring provider.
