Job summary

Carle Health is hiring a Physical Therapy Assistant to implement the plan of care under a licensed physical therapist and to serve as a clinical resource for staff and students. This role offers a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for eligible candidates.

The PTA will educate patients and families, follow the therapist's plan of care, document progress, and participate in treatment interventions including therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training, ultrasound, electrical stimulation,

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA).
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Illinois; BLS within 30 days.
• Board eligibility and completion of required continuing education for stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, families, and caregivers using effective teaching methods.
• Follows the therapist's plan of care and adjusts treatment with documented communication.
• Produces documentation in accordance with clinical documentation policies.
• Completes annual education to comply with program requirements when applicable.
• Coordinates with PT on patient treatment interventions and communicates progress.
