Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to implement plans of care and serve as a clinical resource. The role offers a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for eligible candidates, with emphasis on patient education and collaboration with the care team.

Responsibilities include following PT plans, performing therapeutic interventions, documenting care, and coordinating with providers to optimize patient progress across diverse age groups.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) per IDFPR
• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA) and board exam eligibility with continuing education for acute stroke care

Responsibilities

• Follows treatment plan of care established by PT
• Provides therapy interventions including therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training, ultrasound
• Administers electrical stimulation treatment
• Provides aquatic therapy
• Completes daily documentation and EMR charging
• Coordinates with PT on patient treatment interventions
• Communicates with referring provider on patient progress and recommendations
