Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to evaluate and treat patients of all ages, adjust treatment plans as needed, and serve as a clinical resource for staff. This role offers a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for eligible candidates.

The PTA will administer therapies, document outcomes, and collaborate with the PT and care team to optimize patient recovery in our Rehabilitation Services department.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant or equivalent required.
• Licensure as Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with IDFPR or applicable state license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, and caregivers using effective teaching methods.
• Follows and adjusts plan of care based on patient response and documentation.
• Completes daily therapy documentation and billing entries in EMR.
• Coordinates with PT on treatment interventions and progress notes.
• Communicates with referring providers regarding patient progress and treatment recommendations.
