Job summary

Carle Health is hiring a Physical Therapy Assistant to implement plans of care under the supervision of a physical therapist. You will educate patients and families, perform therapeutic exercises, and document care in the EMR. A sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available for eligible candidates.

The role requires an Associate’s Degree and PTA licensure with BLS. Board eligibility is expected, and continuing education is required to maintain credentials.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required.
• Field of Study: Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Licensed PTA (IDFPR) and BLS within 30 days.
• Board Eligible/Required to complete board exam on next available date.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients and families using effective teaching methods.
• Follows the therapist's plan of care and documents communications.
• Completes daily documentation and therapy EMR entries.
• Provides treatment interventions including therapeutic exercise and gait training.
• Communicates with referring provider on patient progress and treatment recommendations.
• Coordinates with PT on patient treatment interventions.
