Qualifications

Associate degree from an accredited PTA program.
Licensure as a PTA in the practicing state.

Responsibilities

Provide physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
Implement individualized treatment plans.
Assist patients in improving mobility, strength, balance, and independence.
Instruct and supervise therapeutic exercises and gait training.
Monitor progress and report changes to the supervising PT.
Document sessions, progress, goals, and observations per policy.
Educate patients and caregivers on plans, home programs, and safety.
Maintain a safe, clean rehabilitation environment and infection control.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapists to coordinate care.
Participate in quality improvement and continuing education.
Provide services in various settings as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
