Job summary

Cottonwood Canyon Healthcare Center is seeking a PT Maintenance Assistant to help maintain the grounds, facility, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner. The role emphasizes following schedules, coordinating with nursing staff, performing repairs, and protecting resident confidentiality.

The position focuses on maintenance tasks across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems, with a strong emphasis on safety and adherence to policies.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a 10th grade education.
• Ability to make independent decisions and to follow instructions.
• Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information including protected health information.

Responsibilities

• Follow maintenance schedules for the respective shift or area.
• Coordinate daily maintenance services with nursing services when in resident living areas.
• Perform routine maintenance and repair on facility and equipment (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical) as directed.
• Service heating and cooling units/systems per manufacturer and established procedures.
• Report equipment malfunctions or breakdowns to supervisor promptly.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and comply with safety precautions.
